News Reporter Wanted

The Community Free Press (Springfield,MO) has an immediate opening for a news reporter who can build sources and dive into local issues. Duties include general assignment, feature writing, coverage of local government boards and copy-editing. The person must have sharp reporting instincts, outstanding news judgment, an ability to generate story ideas, report and write quickly in a fast-moving atmosphere. A curiosity about the community and its people is vital. Experience with photography and layout/design are preferred, but not required.  Applicants should have a journalism or equivalent degree. Experience is preferred.
